However, as with any machine, washing machines can occasionally present a variety of malfunctions. Here's an overview of the most common washing machine faults and tips on how to avoid or solve them.<\/p>\n<h5>1. <strong>Washing performance is not satisfactory<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>If you notice that the laundry comes out of the machine wrinkled or with traces of washing, there may be a reason:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Overloading:<\/strong> Don't try to overfill the machine. Give your clothes enough room to move around. The kilograms marked on the machine are for wet laundry.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wrong washing programme:<\/strong> Make sure the programme you choose is suitable for the specific wash and fabric.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Too much detergent:<\/strong> Don't use more detergent than recommended as this may leave residues on your clothes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>2. <strong>Washing machine leaking water<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>If you notice water dripping from under or around your washing machine, there could be several reasons:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Too full machine:<\/strong> Check that the wash load is correct for the capacity of the machine.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Damaged door seals:<\/strong> Check the door and seals of the washing machine to make sure they are intact and properly in place.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Excess foam:<\/strong> Too much detergent can cause excessive foam, which in turn can cause leaks.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The internal rubber parts of the washing machine are tired:\u00a0<\/strong>On a machine that is over 5 years old, it's normal for a rubber seal or a slack bush to wear out and need replacing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>3. <strong>Vibrations and noise<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>If you experience unusual vibrations or noise when using your washing machine, there may be a reason:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Incorrect installation:<\/strong> Make sure the washing machine is on the level and correctly installed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Overloading:<\/strong> Too much laundry can lead to imbalance problems and thus vibrations.<\/li>\n<li><b>Worn bearing:\u00a0<\/b>Worn bearings are particularly noticeable by the characteristic squeaking during centrifuging. In addition, the drum starts to shake and the machine starts to \u201crun around\u201d the room. If you suspect that your machine has a worn bearing, please contact our technician. Using a machine with a worn bearing can result in a broken drum and sinking.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Worn out dampers:\u00a0<\/strong>If there is no whining during centrifuging, the cause of the excessive vibration may be worn amortisers. A technician should be called to check and replace the amortisers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>4. <strong>Washing machine does not fill with water or does not drain properly<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>If your washing machine doesn't fill with water or doesn't drain properly, you may be at fault:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Clogged filters:<\/strong> Regularly clean the bottom outlet filter of your washing machine.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Problems with the inlet filter:<\/strong> In the case of water with a particularly high iron content, the washing machine's inlet filter will become clogged and the water will no longer get through. We recommend calling a technician to clean the filter.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Clogged drain pipe or piece in exhaust pump:\u00a0<\/strong>Clothes fibres and hair clog the machine's drainage siphon over time. The first symptom of a clogged drain is the interruption of the wash programme. Separated fibres may also completely clog the drain pump.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Failure of the external flow pump:\u00a0<\/strong>The drain pump needs to be replaced at least once during the lifetime of the washing machine. If you suspect that the pump is no longer working, please contact us.
