Appliance repair varies in both the volume of work and the technical complexity. We have created three categories based on the nature of the work: simple, medium and complex repairs. This breakdown will help you to better orientate yourself in the price list and to understand which level your equipment problem is most likely to fall into.
Easy repair
A simple repair is work of a minor nature, usually involving the replacement of a single part or routine maintenance of a machine.
Examples:
- Replacing a hatch or door lock
- Removing blockages
- Dishwasher door seal replacement
- Replacement of handles and knobs
- Replacement of filters, spray balls or hoses
- Regular maintenance and cleaning
Medium repairs
For medium repairs, partial dismantling of the appliance is necessary. The work is technically more complex and usually involves the replacement of major components or an electrical system check.
Examples:
- Replacement of shock absorbers, belts or pulleys
- Repair of water inlet and outlet parts (valves, pumps, hoses)
- Replacement of heaters or fans
- Replacement of control unit (module) or sensors
- Washing machine drum gasket (neck rubber) replacement
- Electrical circuit and wiring repair
- Cleaning the dryer ventilation or condensate system
- Cleaning the scrubber tank from scale and dirt
Complicated repair
Complex jobs require thorough dismantling of the machine, special tools and considerable experience. Usually there is major wear or failure of key components.
Examples:
- Replacing the bearings or cross of a washing machine drum
- Complete replacement of washing machine tank
- Replacement of dishwasher motor or extensive system cleaning
- Replacing bearings, rollers or supports on the dryer drum
- Complete replacement of cooker and oven heating elements or replacement of several switches/surfaces at the same time.
Note
The degree of complexity indicates the nature and scale of the work. The exact cost will always depend on the condition of the equipment and the spare parts used.
